LocoMotion is a network of citizen groups who are taking up the challenge of getting around differently, by sharing bike trailers, cargo bikes and cars. It’s a Quebec-wide movement that’s constantly expanding. LocoMotion’s mission is to provide concrete alternatives to individual car use.
Bike trailers and cargo bikes are being deployed in the neighborhood. Each vehicle is looked after by a group of neighbors (LocoResponsables) and is accessible free of charge via the online sharing platform Locomotion.app.

The volunteer committee
Take part in the initiative’s development by participating in the committee’s various areas of action (fleet management, mobilization, communication, member integration, event organization).
LocoResponsables
Take care of a vehicle dedicated to use in your neighborhood. Work together to ensure its accessibility, maintenance and safety
Helping hands
The LocoMotion Ville-Marie community is always looking for people to help out with occasional tasks: maintenance, repairs, deployment, etc.
