🚲 Sustainable mobility 🔧 Repair 🛠️ DIY culture 🤓 Knowledge sharing 🤲 Mutualization
◉ The project
The Collectif Tourne-à-Gauche is a gang of bicycle enthusiasts who offer their mechanical know-how to help the cycling community maintain, repair or assemble their bikes.
Several times a week, a group of volunteers opens the doors of Lespacemaker’s shared workshop to invite local residents to come and learn bike mechanics in a relaxed and inclusive atmosphere.
In this way, Le Tourne-à-gauche is helping to combat car dependency by training the local community to maintain more environmentally-friendly means of transport.
◉ How to get involved?
You can get involved with Tourne-à-Gauche by hosting Wednesday or Thursday sessions!
● No skills required, just a willingness to learn
● Training courses in bike mechanics are frequently offered to volunteers.
The collective is also looking for volunteers to help with managing consumables, tools, the budget, managing volunteer schedules, and participating in neighborhood events in the parks.
To get involved, contact the committee!
◉ How it works
The Tourne-à-gauche volunteers are open to the public every week:
Wednesday: 4pm – 8pm
Thursday: 4pm – 8pm
You can bring your bike, and volunteers will be on hand to help with your repair project and teach you the basics of bike mechanics!
PS: Check TAG’s social networks to make sure the session hasn’t been cancelled before coming to the workshop 😉
